NPD reports that Nintendo has had extremely strong sales in the month of February, including nearly half a million Wii Hardware Units and over 500,000 DS system sales in the U.S. Nintendo was #1 in hardware sales for both the console and portable gaming sales charts last month. Sure, the title may be a tad broad, but it’s very close to the truth. In fact, once this game is released, it may become a reality.

Spore, the game that we thought would never come, has now been confirmed to be on store shelves in the U.S on September 7th, 2008. The world and creature simulator will ship simultaneously on the PC, Mac, DS, and mobile phones.

If the presently available DS color options don’t tickle your fancy, how does a Cobalt/Black hybrid version sound? This newly announced color scheme actually looks a lot cooler than it sounds, and is scheduled to be avialable in the USA on February 10th.

Face Training, a new DS title preparing for launch in Japan, will mirror a player’s face and teach them how to make facial expressions. Nintendo has announced an add-on camera peripheral to go with this title. If this has photo functionalities, I sure hope the little kids playing will only take pictures of their face.
