Hey, guess what? Microsoft is planning to stop the distribution of Windows XP as of June 30th, 2008. This will literally force Vista upon PC consumers worldwide, and the support of Windows XP will start to fade.

It seems that the huge online retailer NewEgg is already selling Windows Vista OEM discs. They have the several different available versions, and have the 32bit Ultimate in stock for only $199.

Microsoft claims that Vista’s Aero glass interface doesn’t slow your PC down… as long as you meet the minimum requirements. They do, however, fail to go into detail as to how much power it does actually take to run Aero. Maybe they never noticed…
