My name is Alison and I am a gamer girl. I’m not totally “hardcore” as probably some of you are, but if I had a choice, I would always have a controller in hand.

I first got into gaming from watching my brother fly through the many N64 games in the late 90s. Watching him intrigued me to a point of where I had to play through them myself. My favorites were DK64, Super Mario 64, 007, and of course, Ocarina of Time.

Life of a Gamer Girl Alison

Once I got into the storyline of the Zelda universe and found out what Link had in store, I just couldn’t put down the controller. I now have a Wii and I’m still playing Zelda to this day.

It might appear that I’m a total dork, but I’m not like most guys. I maintain a social life and have a boyfriend who plays Zelda with me. There’s a chance that he may be more into Zelda than I am, but I seriously doubt that. I once dared him to beat the water temple without the blue tunic, and he accpeted the challenge being the dork he is. (Failing miserably, of course.)

I try to play games on a daily basis and I’m sure I will be into games for many years to come.

I’ve been asked to write one of these each month, so look for me next time when I discuss the life of a gamer girl on Xbox Live.
