An anonymous developer for Microsoft has just revealed that a new Xbox 360 controller with motion sensing capabilities has been in the work for quite some time, and it may be available to us sooner than we think. Check the break for the full story.
According to recent claims, a new Xbox 360 motion sensing controller, much like the Wii Remote, has been in development since last August. Rare, the studio behind Perfect Dark and Banjo-Kazooie, has been given the job to develop the layout of the hardware and user interface of the software. Unfortunately, they seem to have been late on their deadlines.
However, the anonomous developer told MTV News that we may see this hardware by the end of the year, and that the design will be more intuitive from the Wii Remote.

Our development source sketched out a reproduction of the last prototype he’d seen, although the final product — if it is indeed released — may vary from this design. A key difference between the Wii remote and the prototype is the lack of a companion controller to be placed in the other hand, like Wii’s Nunchuck.
The controller itself isn’t much different in functionality or design from Nintendo’s Wii remote, but comes with four face buttons, an analog stick and microphone. There are also plans for the controller to interact with the Xbox Live Vision Camera, the source said.
So how exactly would it be to play Halo with our hands rather than the joystick based control that we already know and love? Hopefully, we will see later this year.
