It seems as if we will be heading back to Rapture sooner than we thought, as the sequel to Bioshock, one of the best selling shooters last year, has just been announced.

Take-Two’s Marin Studio will be handling the title, which is currently being rumored as a prequel, and is scheduled to ship right before the holidays of 2009. Now just wait, would you kindly?

Bioshock sold over 2 million copies and won many game of the year awards in 2007. With the amount of time allocated for this sequel, (or prequel for that matter,) Marin Studios should do a fine job and live up to the expectations of newly created RaptureHeads worldwide…hopefully.
