Spore, the game that we thought would never come, has now been confirmed to be on store shelves in the U.S on September 7th, 2008. The world and creature simulator will ship simultaneously on the PC, Mac, DS, and mobile phones.

Maxis’ Will Wright announced:

We’re in our final stages of testing and polish with Spore, and the team at Maxis can’t wait to see the cosmos of content created by the community later this year.

Yeah, we can’t wait either.
