Crysis was originally rumored to be launching not only on the PC, but on the more powerful consoles as well. In fact, many were disappointed and shocked when the developers said that it wouldn’t run well on Sony or Microsoft’s console hardware. Well now, if you own a PlayStation 3, you can become excited again.

GamesRadar is reporting that a PS3 version of Crysis is in development and that the Xbox 360 is going to unfortunately be left out. The PS3 version will be identical to the PC’s, and merely just be a port with some extra added goodies. Perhaps EA felt that they could make more money with Crytek’s latest shooter, since it didn’t sell too well on the PC.
Keep in mind that this is only a rumor, but extremely likely. EA is known to do some weird things when money is involved. More if and when this is ever confirmed.
