Before the PS3 launched Sony touted full backwards compatibility as one of their key features, unfortunately people found out this was less then true when they actually got the console. Many games (event very recent ones such as FF XII) suffered from unreadable text and massive amounts of jaggies. But, happily it looks like that is behind us now.I’ve often wondered though, how much does backwards compatibly matter? I mean granted right now my Wii is being used mostly to play Game Cube games. But, this is only due to the lack of good launch titles. Once, a new console as been out awhile does backwards compat. matter at all? Let’s hear your thoughts in the comments section for this page.
