Holy frag fest, Gears Of War seems to be the sales juggernaut no one can stop. Just a mere 10 weeks after it’s launch date and it’s already sold 3 Million copies. Staggering when you compare it the total number consoles sold which is 10 million. I imagine it will not be long until 1/2 the 360 owners in the world have a copy of this game. Here’s what MS VP of Interactive Entertainment Jeff Bell had to say about it.

“Like blockbuster titles from Microsoft’s ‘Halo®’ franchise and the ‘Grand Theft Auto’ and ‘Zelda’ franchises, ‘Gears of War’ is tracking to be one of the best-selling video games of all time and has established itself as the most successful new IP of the next generation,”

Lets just hope Epic can keep this franchise strong and true to the original game as we head into the inevitable sequels.
