If you have made any modifications to your Xbox 360 including: Third Party Firmware Updates, Any Internal Modchip Addition, or any other External Network “Fixes,” then you better remove them before installing the “Fall Dashboard Update.”

The new update is known to fix many problems and bugs in the previous Xbox firmware, but it is also now known to “Brick” your modded console, making it useless and non-functional. There have also been some reported cases of Microsoft banning your Xbox Live account indefinitely if you have any modifications on your Xbox, so removing them would be a safe way to go.

However, if you do want a very shiny white box to sled on later this Winter, then by all means, update your modded 360.
