Since Lik-Sang is out of the question for anything relating to the PlayStation 3,  gamers started to rely on Play-Asia for PS3 imports for the EU and UK regions.  Due to legal concerns, Play-Asia has now decided to stop imports altogether.

It seems today that Play-Asia sent out a depressing email message to most of it’s customers: “We regret to inform you that due to licensing and distribution limitations, Play-Asia.com will not be able to send PlayStation3 branded products to your territory.” The company also updated its terms and conditions, saying: “PS3 will not be shipped to any countries in the European Union (EU).”

The PS3 launch is looking quite grim for EU customers, and the limited shipments to the US will also cause a good amount of problems for them. Only time will tell how things roll out for Sony, this holiday ‘06.
